Christian Gospel Songs To Walk Down The Aisle To In 2022

As someone who met my life partner as the age of 33 (and married at 35), I had been praying about finding the right man for me for a looooong time. It’s the most important decision I ever made (after becoming a Christian) and the most important decision anyone will ever make - two people are becoming one! It makes sense to want to honour God in your wedding day. You may have family and friends who aren’t used to church or hymns and worship songs, so having the processional music reflect how thankful you are to God is a wonderful way to start the wedding ceremony and and easy way to include your faith.

Here are some Christian / Gospel songs we’ve been asked to sing as the bride walks down the aisle.

Blinded By Your Grace - Stormzy

We have two different versions, equally popular - ‘Part One’ is a slow version (the beginning of the song) and ‘Part Two’ is upbeat, with beatboxing (the second part of the song).

This is why I love you - MAJOR

One of those songs you aren’t quite sure whether it’s talking about God, or a romantic love, or both! “This is why I love you - because you love me.” I personally think this is a perfect wedding song.

Oh Happy Day - Edwin Hawkins Singers

We’ve arranged a short version of this as you need max 2.5 minutes for the processional walk. It has a double theme of salvation and happiness of this life changing day for you both. Here’s an a capella version - perfect for outdoor weddings!

My Everything - Bri Babineaux

We arranged this especially for a couple in May 2022 and totally fell in love with this song. It’s a real worship one! “If I lost everything and didn’t have anything and you were the only thing, I’d still have everything.”

My Life, My Love, My All - Kirk Franklin

The harmonies and soft dynamic in this song create an incredible atmosphere, building up to the powerful middle section where the bride makes her entrance. “My life - I give, my love - I give my all.”

Ave Maria - Schubert

Anyone from a Catholic tradition, or lovers of classical music - this piece is timeless. But if you know us, we are always putting our spin on things to bring them straight in to 2022 - here’s our a capella version. Perfect for a serene entrance.
